Signing of the Summer? Salah better than Coutinho, Mane & Firmino in key area

Stat Attack | Posted on by
Mohamed Salah has scored more goals, registered more assists and boasts a superior minutes per goal or assist ratio than Liverpool attacking trio; Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino over the last two seasons, stats reveal.

At Oulala.com we have taken a look at how Mohamed Salah's end product over the last two Serie A campaigns for Roma has compared in the same period against key attacking Liverpool trio; Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the Premier League, which includes Mane's last season at Southampton.

The Egyptian netted a total of 29 goals for Roma in the Italian top flight since the beginning of the 2015/16 season. In contrast Coutinho scored 21 goals, Mane 24 and Firmino 21 in the Premier League.

Salah's assist tally of 17 also topped all three players; Coutinho (12), Mane (11) and Firmino (14).

When combining goals and assists, Salah's 46 was 11 more than Mane and Firmino and 13 more than Coutinho.

Breaking this down into a per minute basis, the Liverpool bound winger averaged a goal or assist every 113.6 minutes, far superior to Coutinho's 128.8, Mane's 138.7 and Firmino's 144.3.

While it could be argued that the Premier League is more competitive than Serie A, Mohamed Salah's end product stats cannot be ignored. Could this be the signing of the summer?
